Chapter 6: A Love Letter from Her
Author: Luna J. Raven

What? Fu Nancheng was Fu Jue’s uncle? The coincidence was almost too perfect. “Uncle, this is my classmate, Su Ci. She’s had a crush on me for a while and even wrote me a love letter today. Let me read it to you,” Fu Jue said, pulling a letter from his pocket. Su Ci froze. When had she ever written Fu Jue a love letter? It had to be a prank from one of her classmates, using her name to write a letter to him. At that moment, Fu Jue began to read the letter with dramatic flair. “My dearest Young Master Fu, I like you so, so much. I love your sexy, thin lips and want to kiss them. I love your six-pack abs and want to strip you naked. Although I’m ugly, I’m very gentle. Please let me be your girlfriend. Signed, your clown girl, Su Ci.” Su Ci was speechless. She looked up, her gaze involuntarily drifting forward. The man looked as if he had just come from a business meeting, dressed in a black overcoat that draped over a matching suit. Pinned to his lapel was an expensive, tasseled brooch that glittered brilliantly. His long-fingered hands rested on the steering wheel as he turned, accelerated, and changed lanes—a series of maneuvers executed with fluid grace. Perhaps the letter was too explicit, or maybe he sensed her gaze, but Fu Nancheng glanced up, his dark, narrow eyes meeting hers coolly in the rearview mirror. Their eyes met. *Thump, thump, thump.* Su Ci’s heart instantly began to race. She didn’t dare hold his gaze, because the moment she did, she was thrown back to that night in the hotel room—the way his hand had gripped her waist, the look in his eyes as he stared down at her. Fierce and dark, yet churning with a crimson tide of passion—the way a man looks at a woman he claims as his own. Su Ci tore her eyes away. Resisting the urge to kick Fu Jue out of the car, she snatched the letter from his hand. “Shut up!” Actually, Fu Jue had noticed Su Ci long ago. Many at T University mocked her, but she carried herself with a cool composure that made her stand out. “Clown girl, I had no idea you liked me this much. Alright, you’re on. Let’s start dating. From now on, you’re my girlfriend.” Fu Jue wrapped an arm around Su Ci’s shoulders. Just as Su Ci was about to react, the screech of brakes filled the air. Fu Nancheng had pulled over to the side of the road. “Fu Jue, get out.” The deep, magnetic voice resonated beside her. “Uncle, we’re not there yet.” “Are your legs broken? You can run the rest of the way.” Fu Jue was terrified of his uncle. He let go of Su Ci. “Alright, clown girl, I’ll see you tomorrow. I’ll take you on a date. Goodbye, Uncle.” Fu Nancheng hit the accelerator and drove off. Now, only the two of them were left in the luxury car. The man said nothing, and Su Ci sat in stiff silence. Fifteen minutes later, the Rolls-Royce stopped in front of the Yuyuan estate. Fu Nancheng got out, and Su Ci quickly followed. Then the man's deep, magnetic voice sounded again. “Stay away from my nephew.” Su Ci looked up at him, but his cold, detached figure had already vanished into Yuyuan. She lowered her gaze, her lashes fluttering. He must think she wrote that letter. Did he see her as nothing more than a bad girl who liked to lead men on? ... After finishing his work in the study, Fu Nancheng returned to his room. He lay down on the bed but found sleep elusive. The lingering scent on the bed had completely faded. Without it, his insomnia returned. Fu Nancheng pinched the bridge of his nose and dialed a number. “Have the Young Madam come upstairs.” Downstairs, Su Xue practically jumped for joy. She rushed to find Su Ci. “Su Ci, my husband wants me upstairs! I’m going to share a room with him tonight!”
