"Mommy's name is Li Mi," Zhan Zhan whispered, his arm around his sister's shoulders. "Don't be scared, Duo Duo. Daddy's not some kind of monster." Duo Duo had always trusted her brother, and right now, he was the only one she could count on. She nodded tearfully, her voice raspy as she asked, "When can I see Mommy again?" "As long as you're good, we'll see her again really soon," Zhan Zhan said, taking his sister's small hand and rubbing it between his palms. Jing Ting could see the little girl was timid. "You're Duo Duo, is that right?" Duo Duo simply stared at him, her lips pressed into a thin line. "Come here," Jing Ting said, uncharacteristically holding out his arms to the little girl. Duo Duo eyed him warily, only reaching out after a faint smile touched his lips. Jing Ting settled Duo Duo onto his lap, an act that stunned Mo Fan. The President was a notorious germaphobe. "You're the one who breached the server?" Jing Ting asked, turning to the boy. His tone softened slightly. "Zhan Zhan?" The little boy nodded. "Daddy, your security system is a joke," he couldn't resist saying. "It wouldn't even take five minutes to get into any computer in your company." A smirk played on Jing Ting's lips. "Prove it." He wanted to see for himself. "What?" Zhan Zhan blinked, realizing his dad wasn't kidding. "You got it!" He loved this kind of performance; this was his specialty. Zhan Zhan pulled a tablet from his backpack and, under everyone's watchful eyes, began typing a string of code. He looked up after a mere ten seconds. "Done!" Three seconds later, a call came through to Jing Ting's phone. He answered it, listening as the person on the other end spoke frantically, "President, we have a problem! The server's been hacked! We can't trace Zhan Shen's identity for now!" The words were just loud enough for Zhan Zhan to overhear. He lifted his chin smugly before tapping a few more keys. The person on the phone audibly paused, then reported, "Huh? It's back to normal!" Mo Fan was speechless. Was this kid a genius? It really must have been him! Jing Ting lowered his phone, a similar shock echoing within him. "Daddy, I've actually been studying your company's servers for a long time," the little boy said, making no effort to hide how much he'd missed him. "I just really wanted to see you today, so I couldn't help myself. I'm sorry." Each "Daddy" fell from the boy's lips so naturally, a constant reminder of what Jing Ting had done seven years ago. Mo Fan was almost certain these two were the President's children; otherwise, he never would have brought them here. All it took was a child saying he wanted to see his daddy to completely derail an international finance conference that had been six months in the making. Mo Fan could only wonder what was going through the President's mind right now. But it was clear this kid was a chip off the old block, and a significant upgrade at that. Mo Fan felt his boss had just struck gold. This trip was more than worth it. "Daddy," the quiet little girl on his lap murmured, looking up with tears still clinging to her eyelashes. "I missed you, too." Jing Ting's gaze softened, though his feelings were a tangled mess. "Daddy! My name is Zhan Zhan, and I think you're super, super cool! You're the handsomest daddy in the whole world!" The hardness in Jing Ting's eyes melted away, a slight smile gracing his lips as he took out his phone and sent a message to his steward. Upon entering the city, he drove the children directly to Feicui Wan. This was Jing Ting's residence, a quiet, elegant estate nestled between mountains and water on a priceless piece of land. The Lamborghini parked in the vast courtyard in front of the Feicui Wan villa. The morning sun illuminated a garden path paved with countless river stones. Jing Ting led the children toward the living room, walking past clusters of blooming roses so beautiful they took your breath away. Not far off, two gleaming toy sports cars sparkled on the lawn. "Whoa! So cool!" Zhan Zhan spotted them instantly, his eyes lighting up. Jing Ting let go of their hands and ruffled their hair. "If you like them, go play. I had them brought here for you." "Yeah! Daddy, you're the best!" Zhan Zhan exclaimed with excitement. He grabbed his sister's hand. "Come on, Duo Duo! Let's go drive the sports cars." The children zipped around the courtyard in their cars, filling the once-silent space with life and laughter. "Mr. Jing." Steward Shen, dressed in a traditional tunic suit, greeted him respectfully. "The children's rooms have been prepared as you instructed. The items on the list are being procured." "Thank you." The steward handed him two specimen bags. Jing Ting carefully placed the strands of hair he had pinched between his fingers into them. "Go and play with them. Make sure they're safe." "Of course." The steward bowed respectfully. Jing Ting secured the specimen bags. The driver opened the door to the limited-edition Lamborghini, and he slipped back inside. The car drove away.
