Chi Muzhen froze. Given Huo Yunting's temperament, she'd assumed he would have thrown the necklace away. She never imagined he still had it.
He picked up the necklace. "Let me put this on you," he said, his eyes meeting hers.
"...Alright."
Chi Muzhen swept her hair to one side. As Huo Yunting leaned in to fasten the clasp, their bodies were so close she could hear the soft sound of his breathing.
